Help! I’ve been upgraded to Internet Explorer 9

User Rating:  / 1

Recently, you may have noticed that your internet explorer has changed quite a bit. Congratulations! Wink You have downloaded the Internet Explorer 9 update. It has been pushed out automatically to most users of Windows 7 and Vista. Now, you find that you are missing some buttons and that you are seeing repeatedly an annoying pop-up message about disabling add-ons. In this article, I will show you how to tame IE9.

First of all, lets restore the missing buttons and toolbars. Microsoft has tried to simplify their interface to the point of absurdity. We can fix that!

IE9 new look toolbar

Right click on the top bar and you will see the following box.

 Dropdown Box

There are the missing toolbars! Click on the ones that you want back. When you look again, there will be check marks next to them.

Menu Bar                    The old standard tools – file edit view favorites tools and help

Favorites Bar               Shows favorites buttons directly on the toolbar

Command Bar             Shows commonly used buttons like home, print, mail, page, safety

Status Bar                   The bottom toolbar, shows magnifying glass, page load messages

Now your internet explorer should look more like it’s old self. Next, lets next get rid of the pop-up about disabling add-ons.
